Crop top x high waisted bottoms = summer swag

Ever since crop tops came back in style, I haven’t been able to stop myself from buying them. I never even thought I would be comfortable enough to show even this much skin.

If you don’t know, I am absolutely obsessed with leopard print. It all started back in 2009 when I leopard print was came back in style. I bought a pair of leopard print pumps and the rest as they say is history.

Summer is quickly approaching and in my latest video, I’ve decided to showcase three ways that you can rock a crop top.

They say diamonds a woman’s best friend. If I could afford diamonds, that statement may be true for me, but for now my best friends are shoes, lipstick, big goddy jewelery, and my mother’s curried chicken.

Have a look at my shoe collection below.

Not too long ago, Milani introduced it’s new Color Statement Lipsticks ($5.49 for 0.14 oz.) and I love them.

There are a wide variety of colors, but I purchased 5:

Naturally Chic | Very gorgeous rosy nude with a cream finish

Rose Hip | Hot pink with a cream finish

Sangria | Berry color with matte finish. Sangria is the most drying because it has a matte finish. It is a dupe for MAC’s Rebel. Click here to see swatches.

Sweet Nectar | True orange with cream finish. I don’t know if the formula for Sweet Nectar is different, but it gave me a few problems> I had to layer it on a lot to achieve my desired effect.

Flirty Fuchsia | True fuchsia with vinyl finish. The formula for this is so smooth that it glides across your lips.

Where to Buy | Milani Cosmetics

Price | 5.49 | A

These lipsticks are reasonably priced.

Packaging | B+ |

I love that they have the true color represented at the bottom of the tube, but the gold allows fingerprints to be seen easily. This is not a determining factor in terms of purchase but (1) fingerprints don’t look good on the shelf and (2) they show up in pictures.

Pigmentation/Coverage/ | B+

For the price, I think the coverage is excellent. The pigments are buildable so dabbing with a napkin in between applications helps with coverage and longevity.

Texture | B+

Most of these lipsticks (sans the matte ones) feel creamy and hydrating as they are enriched with vitamin A, C and E. They are also paraben free. They could be a little more creamy to me.

Longevity | A

These lipsticks last for a very long time. They are also very difficult to get off.
