Real Vs Steal | Gianvito Rossi Anais Plexi D’Orsay Pump Look-a-Like

Gianvito Rossi Anais Plexi D'Orsay Pump Look-a-Like

The Gianvito Rossi Anais Plexi D’Orsay Pump Look-a-Like (farfetch.com and mytheresa.com) is apart of the designers spring 2014 collection, which by the way has some amazing styles.

The 100% leather shoe features a contrast black pointed toe, an ankle strap with a side buckle fastening, and a high stiletto heel.

I found a dupe for the sleek designer shoe, the Clear the Way Cap Toe Heels, at gojane.com for $26.30 in tan, mint, and black. The faux nubuck look-a-like features a solid cap toe connected to clear PVC panels and is finished with a slightly padded faux leather insole.

The same shoe is also available on urbanog.com, the Qupid Potion-108 Lucite Ankle Strap Pointy Toe Pump,  for $29.60.

Real Vs Steal | Giuseppe Zanotti Lace-Up Suede Gladiator High-Heel Sandal Look-a-Like

Giuseppe Zanotti Lace-Up Suede Gladiator High-Heel Sandal

Strappy cut out heels are a big trend this spring. Oftentimes people overlook these shoes in stores or online because they tend to look weird when they’re not on someone’s feet.

I recently purchased some leopard print lace up sandals that are a dupe for the Zara lace up sandals and to be honest, they don’t look that cute. However, when I put them on, bay-bay, you can’t tell me anything, especially because leopard print is my favourite color. (Yes, it’s a colour.)

I found a dupe for the The Giuseppe Zanotti Lace-Up Suede Gladiator High-Heel Sandal (neimanmarcus.com) on one of my favourite online stores: gojane.com. (I stay on that website.)

They’re called the Film Strip Cut-Out Heels and they’re available in black and nude for $39.70. (photoed below)

I also found another dupe on lulus.com, another favourite online store of mine. They look more like the Giuseppes and are called the Modern Vice Ghillie Black Suede Cutout Lace-Up Booties. Lulu’s has them in nude and black for $99.

Outfit of the Day | Leopard Print is a Neutral Color

posted on: February 19, 2014

leopard print skirt

For many women, a little black dress is a closet essential. I feel the same way about a leopard print pencil skirt. I need to have one in my wardrobe.

In my opinion, just like black, leopard print is a neutral colour. It’s made up of colours that are neutral such as black, and shades of brown.

There’s not much you can’t pair with a leopard skirt because pretty much every solid color goes with it. Things start to get complicated when leopard print is paired with other prints, although I believe it can be done (think Solange). In this outfit of the day post, I paired my skirt with two solid colours: black and tomato red.

The skirt along with the black high low top (that you may remember from my 22nd birthday outfit post) are both are from forever21.com.

The good thing about leopard print is that it can never be upstaged so adding a pop of color will not shift the focal point away from the skirt. I paired the outfit with some orange key-hole pumps that I bought from charlotterusse.com about a year ago. Similar pairs can be found hereherehere, here, here, here, and here.

For jewelry, I kept it simple with a black and white bracelet from forever21.com, a 3-in-1 necklace, and a few hand chains that are from asos.com. (Photography by The F Dot Life)

Real Vs Steal | Zara Shopper Basket Handbag Dupe | JustFab Martin

Zara Shopper Basket Handbag Look-a-Like

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know that I absolutely love finding dupes! It feels almost as good as finding money in my pocket that I didn’t know was there.

This post features a dupe for the Zara Shopper Basket Handbag (out of stock) that retailed for $80. The JustFab Martin Bag, which costs $39.95, looks very similar to the Zara bag. It’s available in black, coral, and tan.

I first wrote this post in July of 2013, and purchased this bag shortly after. It went out of stock for a while, but JustFab brought it back. I love when they do that because that’s how I was able to purchase the Globetrotter bag. At first it was only available in the UK, but I bought it when it was available on the US site. Just like the Martin, it also went out of stock, but is now back in stock.

I absolutely love my JustFab Martin bag. It’s huge and I use it for work and school. I carry my laptop and a lot of heavy books in it too so it’s also durable.
