Circa 2012, shoes with clear heels tried to make a comeback, but it was somewhat of a fail. It just didn’t catch on, However, unless you’ve been living under a Patrick Star rock, you know that perspex shoes are all the rage right now. Clear sandals. Clear boots. Clear underwear

Real Vs. Steal | Saint Laurent Monogram Inspired Bag | kyssmystyle.com
I carry this bag everywhere. To lunch dates. To the mall. To the bathroom. Everywhere.

When I first saw it, I knew I had to have it. I know. Cliche right? I was attracted by the diagonal quilted pattern how similar it looks to Saint Laurent’s envelope bag. It’s now sold out.

Contrary to my work bag, which has everything in it from clothes pins (don’t ask), to coupons, to about five tubes of lipstick (that I can never find when I need them), I try to keep my weekend bags clutter free.

  • I keep a cheap wallet that I got from Target last summer. I holds all my cards and the little money I have. I beat up my wallets so badly because I used them for purses sometimes. It makes no sense to buy an expensive one. And I don’t have any money for that so…
  • Using hand sanitizer 10 times a day did not stop my from contracting pink eye last year, but I have to have sanitizer because, I mean, things are germsy.
  • I always tell myself that I’m going to stop buying perfume and buy scented body oils instead, but alas, I’m always tempted by pretty bottles and seductive fragrances. Estee Lauder’s Pleasures has been my go to fragrance for the past few months. It’s so fresh. I bought in December 2014. Wow. Time has sure flown. I can’t believe it’s 2016.
  • Sunglasses are a necessity. Not just for the haters, but for the blinding Nassau sun.
  • That little gold tube looking thing is my portable phone charger, a must have as a blogger, and because iPhone batteries last for negative two minutes.
  • My bag would not be complete without lipstick and liner. I don’t really need the liner but lipstick is an absolute must have. It’s why I have so many tubes in my bag at a time. It’s kind of a sickness. The lipstick in this post is Milani Matte Glam from their Color Statement collection. It’s a gorgeous burgundy color. I swear I have 10 lipsticks in different shades of burgundy, but its okay because…it just is.

What do you keep in your bag?

Real Vs Steal | Chloe Drew Leather Crossbody Bag Look-a-Like

Real Vs. Steal | Chloe Drew Leather Crossbody Bag Look-a-Like | kyssmystyle.com

I’d like to give a huge shout out to gojane.com for looking out for those of us whose discretionary incomes aren’t high. I’ve been shopping on the website since 2009 and I can truly say that it’s one of my favorite stores and definitely where I shop the most. They give us regular folk a chance to have nice looking things without spending our rent money.

This blog post is about yet another dupe for a designer handbag. In this case it’s the Chloe Drew Leather Crossbody bag. It’s absolutely gorgeous! I’m always on the lookout for dupes and when I saw this Twist to Go Saddle Bag on gojane.com, I knew it looked familiar. I’d seen it in one of KTR Style’s  Instagram pictures. She’s one of my favorite bloggers. I love her style.

What strikes me about this bag is how cute and feminine it looks. It’s also a decent sized bag so you can fit everything you need in it. I didn’t buy this one because I bought a quilted bag that’s a look-a-like for the Michael Kors Carine leather shoulder bag. Only so many black purses you need.

Check out the different colors of the Drew bag in the widget below.

Real Vs Steal | Michael Kors Carine Quilted Leather Shoulder Bag Look-a-Like

Real Vs Steal | Michael Kors Carine Quilted Leather Shoulder Bag Look-a-Like | kyssmystyle.com

I totally hyperventilated when I first saw this bag. If you can’t already tell by my Real Vs Steal blog posts, I love designer dupes. When I find one, it’s a euphoric experience. I’m not exaggerating.

I made apurchase from gojane.com recently, and I was mulling over whether or not I should by a quilted bag. There was a nice one on the site, but I thought it was too small for the price. I googled “quilted handbags” in hopes of finding a deal. I came across the Carine Quilted Shoulder Bag by Michael Kors. I fell in love. I was even going to write a “My Favorite Handbags at the Moment” post just to feature this bag. A day later, I found a look-a-like for $50. It’s also available in red and beige. Let me tell you ’bout my God! I still think it’s a bit pricey, but I got it on sale. Furthermore, I was willing to spend the money for the gold detailing. To me, a quilted bag is a classic closet staple; I couldn’t miss the opportunity to make this bag my own.

In my opinion, all quilted bags are Chanel inspired even though this bag is a dupe for a Michael Kors bag. The gold chain detailing around the body of the bag is what distinguishes the Kors from a Chanel. The Kors bag has more of an edge than the plain Chanel quilted bags.

I also purchased a dupe for the Valentino 1973 Rainbow Vavavoom purse. One day, maybe next year, I plan on purchasing my first designer bag and shoe. Until then, I’ll stick to my look-a-likes.
