Come through, savings! It’s been a while since I’ve written a Real Vs. Steal post. Bloggers love AQUAZZURA Wild Thing Fringed Suede Sandals. It’s probably one of the brands most popular shoe this fall. I’ve found a few dupes of this boho chic shoe, which can be found on Net-A-Porter, Barneys New York, and Moda Operandi, in red, nude, and blue for roughly $785.

I feel like every time I write one of these Real Vs Steal posts, I have to fight off the urge to buy shoes. I usually only post look-a-likes for shoes that I would wear, so I’m tested all the time. I just feel like these shoes were made for me because…reasons.
Finding inspiration for most of my Real Vs. Steal finds are organic; this one was no different. I saw these Prada beauties on a few celebrities, but didn’t really take note until I was browsing one of my favorite e-stores and saw a pair of shoes that looked liked I’d seen them before. I thought to myself, “Where have I seen these shoes before?” and proceeded to google “wavy sandals.” Not too long after that, I saw a post on fashionbombdaily.com showing celebrities wearing the now sold out Prada Suede Triple-Strap Wavy Sandals.

Back in December 2013, I featured a look-a-like for the Valentino Rockstud Sandals in a blog post. Almost two years later, I finally bought a pair.
I recently visited one of my best friends in Minnesota along with another one of my best friends. On the first full day of our trip, we hit up one of the newer outlet malls in the area. Honestly, I don’t like shopping for long periods of time; I’m an online shopper. I was mentally done after outlet mall, but afterwards we went to the Mall of America.
I was patiently waiting on my friend in Charlotte Russe, when my eye caught the Valentino Rockstud Ballerina Flat. (I always spend more money when I shop with people.) I’d been thinking about purchasing the flats for quite some time, but the price tag made me second guess myself. I spent a few minutes trying on the shoe and wondering if these flats deserve $30 dollars.
However, Charlotte Russe was having a buy one get one for $15 sale on shoes. I tried on a pair of black mules which I thought were very chic. They didn’t have my size, so I tried on the look-a-likes for the Rockstud Sandals. My friend told me, “Girl, they look nice,” and that was all I needed to hear. I tell ya. Nothing like a little peer pressure.
I didn’t want to spend $30 on the flats, but spending about $45 on two pairs of shoes seemed more within my budget at the time.
Another dupe I purchased was for the Valentino 1973 Rainbow Vavavoom Shoulder Bag. I featured this bag in a Real Vs. Steal post a few weeks ago. I love the different of the bag and I’m going to have so much fun styling it.
