Circa 2012, shoes with clear heels tried to make a comeback, but it was somewhat of a fail. It just didn’t catch on, However, unless you’ve been living under a Patrick Star rock, you know that perspex shoes are all the rage right now. Clear sandals. Clear boots. Clear underwear
I’d like to introduce y’all to the latest additions to my shoe wardrobe!
As if I really need more shoes. Sigh. Listen, my excuse is that I own a women’s apparel store in The Bahamas. I have to advertise the product.
If you look closely at the photos of the shoes, you’ll see that while they are very similar, they two shoes are by different brands. The purple shoe, which is by Liliana, features a slightly higher heel that the nude pair, which is by Shoe Republic LA. These shoes are actually from my store, but the Liliana shoe can be found on gojane.com in purple and nude.
What I love most about these shoes are the muti-straps which ooze sexyness. I can’t wait to show you how I style them in upcoming outfit of the day posts!
I carry this bag everywhere. To lunch dates. To the mall. To the bathroom. Everywhere.
When I first saw it, I knew I had to have it. I know. Cliche right? I was attracted by the diagonal quilted pattern how similar it looks to Saint Laurent’s envelope bag. It’s now sold out.
Contrary to my work bag, which has everything in it from clothes pins (don’t ask), to coupons, to about five tubes of lipstick (that I can never find when I need them), I try to keep my weekend bags clutter free.
I keep a cheap wallet that I got from Target last summer. I holds all my cards and the little money I have. I beat up my wallets so badly because I used them for purses sometimes. It makes no sense to buy an expensive one. And I don’t have any money for that so…
Using hand sanitizer 10 times a day did not stop my from contracting pink eye last year, but I have to have sanitizer because, I mean, things are germsy.
I always tell myself that I’m going to stop buying perfume and buy scented body oils instead, but alas, I’m always tempted by pretty bottles and seductive fragrances. Estee Lauder’s Pleasures has been my go to fragrance for the past few months. It’s so fresh. I bought in December 2014. Wow. Time has sure flown. I can’t believe it’s 2016.
Sunglasses are a necessity. Not just for the haters, but for the blinding Nassau sun.
That little gold tube looking thing is my portable phone charger, a must have as a blogger, and because iPhone batteries last for negative two minutes.
My bag would not be complete without lipstick and liner. I don’t really need the liner but lipstick is an absolute must have. It’s why I have so many tubes in my bag at a time. It’s kind of a sickness. The lipstick in this post is Milani Matte Glam from their Color Statement collection. It’s a gorgeous burgundy color. I swear I have 10 lipsticks in different shades of burgundy, but its okay because…it just is.
Back in December 2013, I featured a look-a-like for the Valentino Rockstud Sandals in a blog post. Almost two years later, I finally bought a pair.
I recently visited one of my best friends in Minnesota along with another one of my best friends. On the first full day of our trip, we hit up one of the newer outlet malls in the area. Honestly, I don’t like shopping for long periods of time; I’m an online shopper. I was mentally done after outlet mall, but afterwards we went to the Mall of America.
I was patiently waiting on my friend in Charlotte Russe, when my eye caught the Valentino Rockstud Ballerina Flat. (I always spend more money when I shop with people.) I’d been thinking about purchasing the flats for quite some time, but the price tag made me second guess myself. I spent a few minutes trying on the shoe and wondering if these flats deserve $30 dollars.
However, Charlotte Russe was having a buy one get one for $15 sale on shoes. I tried on a pair of black mules which I thought were very chic. They didn’t have my size, so I tried on the look-a-likes for the Rockstud Sandals. My friend told me, “Girl, they look nice,” and that was all I needed to hear. I tell ya. Nothing like a little peer pressure.
I didn’t want to spend $30 on the flats, but spending about $45 on two pairs of shoes seemed more within my budget at the time.
Another dupe I purchased was for the Valentino 1973 Rainbow Vavavoom Shoulder Bag. I featured this bag in a Real Vs. Steal post a few weeks ago. I love the different of the bag and I’m going to have so much fun styling it.
