When I first saw the blazer in this outfit, I shed a tear. It’s the perfect combination of black and white, stripes, and abstract. It’s the very essence of bold and chic.
This If I Was Your Stylist post is a continuation of Monday’s post: What to Wear to a graduation ceremony. This outfit is for those who love black and white and don’t necessarily want to wear a dress and be semi-formal.
As you may have guessed, the focal point of this outfit is the blazer. Actually, it’s not a blazer; it’s a cape blazer. It looks cream and black in the photo, but it’s white and black. It’s not dressy, but it gives the outfit a certain sophistication that makes it suitable for commencement.
I went with a simple white camisole to wear underneath the blazer because, well, you don’t want to be naked. (This one is cheaper.) You can’t go wrong with a pair of slimming black trousers. White, or even another color if you want to color block, is also an option.
I wanted to add a pop of color to this outfit so I added a sexy fuchsia ankle strap heels (which are also available in tan and leopard print). These sandals look great as well if you prefer a more expensive look.
To balance out the pink, I chose a pink geometric necklace, and for additional bling, these pearl fang ear jackets are the perfect dose of classic and trend. Lastly, a metal cuff bracelet is always chic along with some midi rings.
