There’s nothing like a statement pencil skirt. I bought this skirt with the intention of sewing up the split and wearing it to work. But nope, I don’t think the four walls of my classroom will behold this skirt. I have this skirt in about five different prints; I bought it from J C Penny and they kept restocking it in different colors. What was a girl to do?
I wore an off white camisole with the skirt because I wanted all attention to be on the skirt. I prefer to buy polyester camisoles because the material holds up longer. Cotton/rayon camisoles are borderline disposable. I keep promising to buy Woolite laundry detergent, but it never happens. Good camisoles are closet essentials, perfect for mixing, matching and optimizing your wardrobe. So buy them once and be done with it.
A pair of basic nude T-strap heels would have been my choice had I not decided to jazz up the outfit by wearing my studded heels, which are dupes for the Valentino Rockstud sandals. I thought I was going to have to wear my gold box clutch, which I wore in my last outfit post, but then I remembered that I bought a nude purse with little cloth petals on it. I think it really complemented the ruffles on the camisole.
I’m so happy that I was able to film shots for a video this time. Yaas. The sun was soooo hot when we film this shoot. I was pouring sweat. Literally. I’m surprised that I was even able to find footage to put in the video. The photos and videos were taken by BJM Photography, and I’m looking forward to all of our future collaborations.
